CMAG 2004
‘Ordinary People’ was a series of portraits in photography and vellum watercolour paintings. I was thinking about the differences in the mediums, but the main idea was about how painting can lead us to read an image structurally. I made all the strokes in each painting move around the face the way the eye does. There was a curious intensity about these images. All the subjects were Canberra artists (with a few other creative types!)
